My attempt for a design contest. You had to design a parasol which stands on a table to keep your drinks cool.

At school they asked Kim and me to design a layout for some booring schooldoc (with rules and stuff like that, blugh). So we decided that a booring document better doesn't look booring at all! Because of the costs (crisis you know...) we had to design it in black and white only, so that made it a little bit harder...

ANYWAY!
We made it look like a fairytale book ^-^

Sunday-doodles

Inspired by some '50-stuff, I doodled those (and more) last Sunday. I like the one on the right bottom the most. But I also don't like it at the same time, because I think it looks like the girl below:

Piggy

@Work (you know...callcenter of a bank) they asked me to make a new poster for a competition for all the collegues. I'm not going to bore you with the explanation of the whole competition, but let's say it's about let the costumers save more money at the bank. So, I drew a piggy :). Last poster was pretty ugly, so I think this will be a big step forward. It's not quite perfect, but I didn't want to put much time on it... so well, I think it's nice enough for now :)

WB Pitch

This drawing took me up to another level, 'cause this drawing is quite rough.
Inking it asked some comprehension from me.
So it took more time, but I learned a lot :).
Some parts maybe need to be bolder.

I finally started with my new personal website.
Already for one year I say that there will be a new one soon, but now the moment is almost there!
Do not expect a huge flash-site with AS 3.0 and stuff... It's gonna be a usual xhtml-site hahaha, just to show some work.
I need this site for showing my work to company's for my internship coming January.

Enough talking.
For this site I drew a character of myself.
It's pretty generic.
Somehow I can't do the funny cartoony stuff yet.
Has someone any tips for me to let go the generic stuff?

I've just inked it.
I'm very tired right now, 'cause it's 0:40AM here.
So I'll do the clean up and corrections tomorrow.

Edit:
Made some corrections in lines, shapes and thick/thin.
Not completly satisfied with the character, it's too generic.
Collored it with the "Live Paint"-option in Illustrator, works perfect for me :)
Here is the result:



Orange is not my natural haircolor, but I just painted it this color last week :)
I color my hair every 2 to 3 months, so I have to change the character this often too haha.
I could make the hair mid-blond, like my natural haircolor, but orange is happier!

@School I'm still working on a project for a sleepoverkit & I experiment with animation.
Beside that I get inspired by the most weird things!

Postbank

Besides school I work at the technical helpdesk of Postbank (ING). We are trained to help people who have problems with internetbanking and when their problem is solved we also advice them about Postbank-products.

@Product-traing we make posters in small groups and show & tell each other what the specs and usp's of a product are.

My posters are showed on our department now :)
