Pirate Cat finished

I hope my grandpa likes it :)
I've drawn this for his birthday because I never know what to give for his birthday.
As a child you used to draw something as a gift, so why wouldn't I do that too? :)
I drew my grandparent's cat.
Their cat doesn't like being on their boat and she is really fat.
That's how I came up with a fat pirate cat ^-^

Powerpuff Girls

I wanted to draw the Powerpuff Girls in my own poses + a character in the same style. So, I ended up with a Powerpuff Harmke presented by the other Powerpuff Girls :)
First I drew it on paper with a pencil, than vecorised it in Adobe Illustrator.

WIP2

I tried to add shadows and highlights in Photoshop on a character I created in Illustrator. First time I actually did this haha. I'm not sure how to add shadows/highlights to the tail...

WARP!
I had some troubles with uploading, so that's why it's in a link...

Then, a sketch of Mick (the bunny of Mitch' parents)

And probably the final sketch of how Mac is going to look like in the animation! WHOOOHOO!!!

Second clay-experiment

Because I don't want model to be destroyed when it gets out of the oven... I decided that my model sits down. So I gave it another shot:

Other angle:

Fimoclay
(I can bake that in my own oven!)
@the background you see the ears of the bunny :( they don't want to be glued on the bunny's head :(. I'm gonna make an other one tomorrow...

The real bunny (Mac!):
He's soooo cute ^_^

Expressions

I tried to apply some expressions on my bunny last days.
I photographed the sketches because my scanner is *#(#*@...
So I'm sorry for the gradient on the photo's ;)
Here we go!

Random:

Sad:

I was not quite sure about how to let the ears drop down.
What do you think about the curve at the chin to suggest a sad mouth?

Arrogant:

Also troubles with the ears!
Should I point them to the direction the bunny looks or in the opposite direction?

Random (innocent, scared & happy):

Random (normal, happy & in love):

Find it difficult to draw an happy bunny.
There is no mouth, so I can't draw a smile.
I tried to make it clear by making the nose wider, eyes closed, ears in the air & high eyebrows.

Random:

Gasping:

Star Wars!

I watched Star Wars all over the weekend, so I had to do this one ;).
It's not a great pose, but well.. I think it's allright for now.
(I wish it was more powerfull, more exaggerate... but I'm gonna work on that!)

Tips, tricks & feedback are welcome :)

character-studies

Hooray!
I made it to create a character finally!
After watched a lot of inspireing design/art/stuff, I started sketching again.
The previous sketches I made were based on nothing.. actually they're doodles or something.
But they are absolutely not useless!
Before started sketching again, I watched these doodles again and decided what I (dis)liked.

Decisions:
- simple construction
- no mouth (character is not speaking anyway...)
- and some more what I can't remember right now O:)

First some sketches for a face:

Then I got hungry, so time for something to eat!
After a nice spring roll ^_^ I went back to my paper & pencil.

Number 16 looked nice to me.
So I made my decision.
Number 16 is my sweet little bunny! ^_^

Then I tried to create a body for my bunny, 'cause only a face is not enough ofcourse.
The Preston-Blair-book helped me out.
I took the character of the squirell and applied his bodyconstruction and poses to my bunny:

I think I still have problems with copying poses and using line of action. Maybe you see other things I need to improve, so tell me!
Feedback pleaaaaase!
